New camping pics

The kids and I went camping last week again. It was going great until I slammed my shin on a rock and had to cancel our last night in the woods and detour to the emergency room. At least it was me that was injured and not one of the kids.

Here is us at our site, little chilly in the mountains (elevation 8000 ft)

Matilda gathering firewood:

Next day, us on our hike at the top of Mt Lemmon:

Griff took this picture. I love it.

Playing in the streams at Marshall Gulch:

That big rock right behind Matilda was the one that I wrecked my leg on:

Griffin wanted to take a picture of me walking across this log to get my sunglasses. I had just hit my leg on the rock, but the pain hadn't set in yet, so I resumed:

Me poking around the back of my truck looking for the first aid kit. Griff took this picture too.

I zoomed in on my shin. It doesn't look too bad here, but it was deep.

10 stitches, picture was taken the next day:

I rolled into the fire station to get an opinion on the seriousness of the gash. Both paramedics insisted I go immediately to the ER. So that's that.
